Helloooooo! We're back and we're joined by Jacquis Neal (@jacquisneal) from the Culture Kings and I'm Your Host to talk about the iconic, the beloved, the oft-referenced, Training Day! The 2001 film stars Denzel Washington and, of course, our very own Ethan Hawke. Not to mention so many other recognizable names and faces!!
This feels like a real landmark film on our journey through Ethan Hawke's filmography and we're so excited that we made it and that you're along for the ride!

And, of course, we're talking Ethan Hawke. Hawke reprises his role as Jesse (from the Before series) for a brief scene in this dream of a movie.

Episode 19: Snow Falling On Cedars (w/Alex Button)
Monday Oct 07, 2019
Monday Oct 07, 2019
Honestly, this was a kind of difficult movie to talk about. We're used to joking about Ethan Hawke's artsy lines and romances gone wrong, but this week we had the task of discussing Snow Falling on Cedars, a movie which takes place during World War II and focuses a lot around the discrimination against Japanese Americans in the U.S. before, during, and after WWII. Of course, Ethan Hawke still falls in love, but it was definitely a different kind of movie from the ones we've discussed before.
We're joined by the wonderful Alex Button (@_abutton, Double Trouble Feature) who shares with us her belief that birds aren't real - truly a shocking twist on a show where we regularly share "Hawk Facts."

Episode 18: Joe the King (w/Kevin Bartelt)
Monday Sep 30, 2019
Monday Sep 30, 2019
Hey gang! This week we're talking about Joe the King (directed by Frank Whaley, who you may know from A Midnight Clear or his recent cameo in Hustlers). And we're joined by the very fun and cool Kevin Bartelt (@kevbartelt, Maybe Don't).
In this one, Ethan Hawke plays a guidance counselor - who wears sandals! He's only in a few scenes, but we wish he had more. Don't we always, though?
